New Leadership for the Wallenberg Foundations

As of the turn of the year, the Wallenberg Foundations will be led by a new, broad-based academic leadership team comprising four of Sweden’s most highly qualified academics.

Research to stop malaria

Malaria kills almost half a million people every year, most of them children. Ellen Bushell, a researcher at Umeå University, wants to understand everything about the malaria parasites function, with the long-term goal of finding effective methods to combat the disease. In the video, we get to follow Ellen into the lab to learn more about the deadly parasite and see how the researchers work to gain more knowledge to fight it.
